Step 1
Keep the bandage on the tattoo for at least two hours after the job is done (or more, depending on the tattoo artist guidelines).
Step 2
Remove the bandage very carefully and throw it away. This allows the skin to breathe and start the healing process. Not rebandage tattoo.
Step 3
Put a drop of mild antibiotic soap on your hand and lightly wash the tattoo. Stir gently dry with a washcloth (not a paper towel) Do not rub.
Step 4
DAB ointment prescription of antibiotics (like Neosporin) on the treated area.
NOT re-bandage your tattoo
DO NOT use Vaseline or petroleum jelly
DO NOT use alcohol or peroxide
DO NOT choose to tattoo or scratch
Do not soak the tattoo with bath or shower
come in, get clean, get out!
Stay out of swimming pools, jacuzzi, ocean, etc to keep two weeks of tattoo to direct sunlight and / or solarium
Instead, you can choose to use a good unscented lotion such as Lubriderm, Jergens or Eucerin. Apply a thin layer and work well 5-6 times a day throughout the healing process. Do not lubricate the tattoo, but do not let dry out, either. If any infiltration occurs, gently blot the excess with a clean paper towel.
